About OOT, the Open Operating Theatre
The OOT – Open Operating Theatre - is an extensive surgical internet film library. OOT presents online film content focused on spine surgeries, lectures, symposium presentations as well as educational support and courses. The OOT was introduced in 2005.
OOT is owned by MEM MEDIA Foundation and based in Bern, Switzerland.
The surgical films are produced in close cooperation with international spine surgeons and follow a structured educational concept. It is demonstrated how new and innovative surgery techniques can be approached in different ways by different surgeons. You can compare the surgery technique with your own technique of solving a similar problem. You can also learn new methods and tricks and implement this in your daily practice. The OOT library is continuously expanding and new films are constantly uploaded.
Many of the films are published in the electronic version of the European Spine Journal with an indexed abstract. The operating surgeon gains the same impact factor for the abstract and the film, as for a scientific publication.
After your online registration you can watch the entire films for free, there is only a small charge for the download.
